Scientists learn more every day about effective treatments for different types of cancer. As advances are made in treating the disease, new therapies are developed. New Mexico Cancer Care in its alliance with the University of New Mexico Cancer Center participates in the National Cancer Institute's cooperative group clinical trials to include NSABP, SWOG and RTOG.

NMCCA also participates in US Oncology sponsored trials and those of various pharmaceutical groups. NMCCA can offer patients the newest approaches to cancer care while providing them with the best current standard treatment. Karen LoRusso, MD is the director of the Research department.
